We loved it here! It’s a beautiful place, the weather was always better than expected and the view was beautiful! We would love to come here again!
Again we had a really great time in the peaceful chalet. We enjoyed sunny and rainy days and the view from the kitchen! We also managed to do a few of the walks in the area (Sands Archaeological Trail).
We really love this place and we hope to be back in the future. Thanks for the warm welcome and the relaxed atmosphere.
Beautiful weather – snowed a little Tuesday morning but nothing to worry about.
Beautiful chalet, fully equipped with everything you need.
Beautiful views of Wester Ross.
Loved seeing the seals at Mellon Udrigle. Lovely ride out to Torridon and Lower Diabaig – well worth the ride just to see the views.
Thank you for our stay – hopefully be back again.
This was my first visit to the Gairloch/Wester Ross area, and hopefully won’t be my last! As a midwifery student, a 3-week rural placement was a daunting prospect with the geographical aspect and the potential to commute 60 miles (yes, 60 miles) between bases in Gairloch, Lochcarron and Ullapool. However, navigating the roads and avoiding the sheep (even the cows some days) became routine and one I will miss when back in Aberdeen. Somehow dodging sheep on the A96 doesn’t have the same appeal!
The chalet has been the perfect retreat after long commutes and I couldn’t have hoped for better accommodation to call my home for 3 weeks. From spectacular views on a crisp November day, to walking down to the beach at the bottom of the road and greeting the sheep by the gate, Ceol na Mara is one of a kind. Even my family used the excuse of a spare room for a visit!
Definitely going to miss the scenic views Wester Ross has to offer, not to mention the stress-free nature of the place, one I’ve been lucky to experience.
Though it is very cold and windy outside for we Indians, the warmth of John and not less of the chalet have made our visit a lifetime experience. The perennial view of the roaring-roiling waters from this cosy little chalet, the vast, undulating terrain, the saline marine air, the peaceful walks, the pristine beauty of nature, and a host of other attractions like gently flowing streams, thick algae and grasses, innocent sheep, shy birds, floating eagles, acrobating seabirds, all made this visit most memorable.
Would like to visit again. Perfect place to unload the city stress.
The days in your cabin were very nice and the view from here is stunning. We’ve been to the beach a lot although it was very cold, but the sun was shining nicely.
It was very comfortable and the kitchen is great. Plus: you were very kind and there are a lot of sheep around.
Thank you!
We had really great days here. The place is peaceful and the view is fantastic!
Really enjoyed the comfortable and cosy chalet.
Thank you! We will be back!
Our first visit; certainly not our last!
An amazing week with glorious weather. We have had such a relaxing holiday at Ceol na Mara – great house and brilliant hospitality.
We will definitely be back again. We are going to miss the views and amazing sunsets!
Our third visit—we love the peace and quiet, stunning views and sunsets.
Enjoyed spotting the wildlife—sorry not to have seen the otter this time.
Weather has been very good, with just two showery days.
Very comfortable; we look forward to coming back again.
Tip: the Cullen skink at The Shieling is to die for!
The chalet is very big and well equipped—excellent views.
Hope to be back next year.
